Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

F this place. The people here think their sh!t doesn't stink. Well let me tell me you, this place is run by a bunch of ass holes and are the most rude people I have ever encountered. Specifically speaking, I'm talking about Barbara, who answers the phone. She's incredibly rude, incredibly un-helpful, and is the biggest biatch ever. Barbara seems to think, she has the only pizza in town. Wouldn't give this place a dime because of FAT AS$ Barbara. Lay off the carbs Barb.

I usually order the Caesar salad and pizza, the pizza dough is nicely crisp and thin .

If you are looking for finger licking food this is the place to come. We indulged with garlic rolls, stuffed artichoke, stuffed mushrooms, and margherita pizza. The garlic rolls were soft and brought right out the oven. So fresh and garlicky that it was delicious. The stuffed artichoke was so interesting and yummy. It was so hot that I burned my lips a couple of times. The flavor was incredible. Very different from any artichoke dish I ever had. Definitely something I would have again. The stuffed mushrooms were out of this world. Cooked with perfection and the right amount of bisque sauce covered them. They were stuffed with lobster, sooo tasty. The margherita pizza was great too. The crust was not too thin but not too thick, just the right thickness and it was seasoned well. It had fresh mozzarella cheese and basil which made it taste really good. Great place to eat delicious food!

Having recently moved to South Florida , I soon became aware that the landscape was "pockmarked" with malls, invariably containing a Publix,a dry cleaner, a chain drug store, a chiropractor, a Chinese restaurant ,& no doubt a family run pizza/italian spot. Every now and then a jewel sparkles through this morass of reiterative boredom.... such is the case with Pizza Time Ristorante, a family-run Italian restaurant located in a mini mall in downtown Boca Raton. Enticed by many favorable Yelp reviews we decided to risk another forgettable mall dining experience. Eric, our informative server with more than enough personality to spare recommended the baked clams even though we were only in the mood for pizza. WOW! NOT your usual dry breadcrumb stuffed clam shells .... but instead the 6 shells were moist, garlicky& seasoned just right....not to be missed...telling us that we were dealing with a special spot and not your typical boring Italian mall restaurant. Likewise the salad had a wonderful HOUSE dressing enhancing ripe tomatoes, greens, cucmbers and onions... the pizza prepared with sauteed onions and peppers with a modest sprinkling of sausage was a 5 star winner. We finished off the meal with a wonderful tiramisu and a relatively strong cappuccino which would have benefited by a more generous topping of cream.... Bottom line....... if Neapolitan Italian food it is your thing... then Pizza Time is the place to be.Furthermore our assessment of this wonderful family run restaurant was confirmed by a relatively large crowd of regulars filling this pleasant, albeit modest dining room on a Monday night. Will return ASAP to sample some of Pizza Time's many dinner entrees which includes multiple veal or chicken dishes and multiple elaborate pasta dishes. Yes, I gave Pizza time only 4 stars and not 5 stars since it's only fair to leave some room for perfection.

I've always said that if Don Frank Sinatra is playing at an Italian place, the vibe is legitimate and the food will be "molto bene. In a rare moment of coincidence, both Yelp and a coworker recommended Pizza Time for lunch as being tasty food near one of my construction sites. Less than a 5 minute drive from Downtown Boca, a waitress with a slight but pleasant New York accent described their yummy variety of pizzas, paninis and stuffed peppers of which I ended up ordering a meatball parmigiano a Margherita slice with buffalo mozzarella. However, these slices are close in size to whole pizzas of some Miami restaurants. Served in a square layout, both slices were loaded with toppings and flavor. You could taste the cheese, the tomatoes and beef. Very flavorful and very aromatic! The meatball sub my coworker ordered looked just as good, but I won't break the man code by asking for a sample. I do know what I'll order next time.

Came here for lunch. Upon sitting down we were asked how we know about this place and were given a quick look at items that were not on the menu, but were recommended by our server. Service was quick and friendly. The pizza was very flavorful and arguably the best pizza I've had in quite some time The atmosphere was welcoming big enough where it wasn't crowded.

One of my favorite pizza places! My coworker comes here 2-3 times a week. I would always smell the delicious pizza and she would offer me a slice and finally I gave in. I tried the margarita pizza and a piece of the baked ziti pizza. OMG. I was speechless! They were both so good but that Baked Ziti pizza was amazing!! You have to forget the about the calories and go all out then you come here. 2nd time I tried this was for a company lunch. I placed the order.. We ordered one of each pizza on the menu. Sausage and peppers, Garden Salads with Italian Dressing, Baked Ziti, they gave us free Garlic breads (addicting). Of course I could not try all the pizzas but I did try to stuff myself until I could not handle anymore. That day my favorite was the Pepperoni and Bacon pizza!! I LOVE bacon and this pizza was delicious. The margarita is always on my plate. You can never do wrong with that one. Simple and great. Service for this order was exceptional. I places the order almost a week in advance and it was a smooth process. They arrived on time and set everything up for us in the conference room. Customer Service was a 5 star for sure. 3rd time: Today for lunch I was craving this pizza so my coworker and I planned a lunch date. Please note their 1 slice for the Margarita and Lobster Bisque Pizza consist of 4 small slices. It's a lot of pizza!! The location is very homey and cute. Very clean and organized. We walked up and ordered our pizza and it was ready super quick. We have heard great reviews about the Lobster Bisque pizza. I am so happy I had the opportunity to try it because it is added on my Favorite List as well. The chunks of lobster and the flavor of the bisque was amazing!! I could not get enough. Try this place out people. It is worth it!! :)

Bread and cheese. These two ingredients should equal $54 for two large pizzas. I understand I am in Boca and I did see the prices before I ordered. However, Somehow I was charged with a delivery charge for an item that boasted no delivery charge. Either way, bread and cheese should not equal that much money. The pizza itself... was OK... Not $54 ok though....

This is a great family restaurant. Red and white checkered tables and all. I'm a firm believer in ordering the food in the name of a restaurant, so stick with the pizza!!!! My favs are the fresh tomato pie and pizza caprese. Their garlic rolls are awesome too. I wish they had counter service during the day instead of table service, it would be faster and easier on the wallet. They offer pizza by the slice and have a rotating list of gourmet choices. If you are in a hurry, you can order a full pizza ahead of time and they will half bake until you arrive (if you want to eat it there.) They do have a pretty big takeout crowd too. For those resident South Floridians - it's the same owner as the Coral Springs Pizza Time in the 80's/90's!

A hidden gem! This is THE ONLY place you should ever go to for pizza! Nothing else compares... They also make great coffees :) Make reservations ahead of time during season...

I'm with Miles: don't judge this place by the cover. You think this is a little Italian hole in the wall in strip mall, and it is. But the food they crank out is just lovely. In particular when you go for the gold, unannounced specials such as the Arrancini or the special pizza, which sometimes feels like the owner was experimenting. Good thing he never fails. Said our waitress last night "I'm astonished I still fit through the door". And is she ever right. Very nice and friendly service by the way, and great short strong espresso (I hardly eat desserts, so no comment possible). A consistent winner.

My mouth is watering just writing this. Their Grilled Chicken and Portobello Panini is actually to-die-for! Get it with a side of alfredo sauce and dip your sandwich in this rich and creamy good-ness. It is a must try!

This review is based solely on the food. Closest thing I've seen to authentic Italian at a pizzeria since I came down to Florida from New York area. Margarita pizza is great as is any other pizza. If you go to the other pizza time in parkland and order the grandma's pizza (fresh mozz and basil sauce) you'll know how truly unbeatable the food is. I would also definitely recommend the veal chops and their rice balls. Both excellent choices. I'm a regular at this place due to its wide variety of great food

Soooo good. We are new to the area and a friend recommended Pizza Time. If there is a line it is worth the wait! Some of the best pizza we have had and even my daughter said it was the best pasta ever! Will be back!

I used to go to the "old pizza time" on Sample Rd., which was about the only place to go for good, everyday Italian food in Coral Springs. The place sold and the new owners did a pretty good job of keeping the quality up, but it was never really the same. Friends of ours recently turned us on to the "new pizza time" in boca that is owned by Bobby, the previous owner of the Coral Springs location. The "new Pizza Time" has actually been there for years. Wow, what a difference. All of the usual dishes were on the menu, but Bobby offered several different specials the day we were there. We ordered one of the specials- the chicken and pasta special dish in a gorgonzola sauce which was amazing. I ordered a favorite of mine- shrimp parmigiana with a side of linguine with white clam sauce that was also excellent. All I can say is if you are missing the "Old Pizza Time" in Coral Springs, try out the new one in Boca. You won't be disappointed.

My own fault - why do I go back. This place is run by assholes, and they have successfully trained their staff to be assholes. It is unfortunate, because beyond the assholes there's some good food.

Any time I'm within 50 miles of this place it is a must stop. I live in California but the Italian food here is as good as anything I've gotten in New York. I would rather keep this a secret of the locals but the owners does too good a job for that to be fair to him. Excellent always!

This pizza place is just like being in New York. The sauce is spectacular! The margarita pizza is the best. The atmosphere is family orientated and kid friendly. The kids love the Penne Vodka pasta.

When it comes to pizza in Florida, my outlook is the pie is half empty. Then came Pizza Time and now I'm almost a pizza optimist. delicious, cheesy and neither too thin nor too thick a crust, the pizza here is primo. Have had it twice thus far and still see things looking fuller in my finicky pizza future.

The food was excellent. I had both the Chicken Stromboli and a Meat Lovers as well. But the $3.50 tip wasn't enough for the driver to drive 3 blocks to deliver and she left in a huff. I would order from there again but never use the delivery service. Bad attitude.

A small, cozy, wonderful Italian place to eat. I usually eat get the artichoke appetizer - so wonderful! The pizzas are normal sized, a large calzone can feed over four people. On Sundays they have a special pasta dish.

What a nice Italian surprise! We were doing some business meeting down at Boca when we needed some soda. We happen to drop by this pizza place expecting the usual mediocre offerings like in other places but we were so surprised! The garlic rolls were to die for. Tasted fresh ingredients and has a distinct flavor that I assume was from the butter or olive oil I don't know. The calzone was amazing. You can tell they don't skimp on ingredients. Worth the travel. Ambience is casual which we liked.

Oh the irony. Alright so here is what I know. The original Pizza Time family in Coral Springs sold their restaurant. Some of the members went their own way, some retired. The owner of this location happens to be the one who got arrested a few years ago for pulling a gun on an employee read here articles.sun-sentinel.co… . Hey sh*t happens, I can't hold that against him because he makes a mean pie. His brother-in-law happens to be one-time great and Florida Panther, Roberto Luongo. Robert in the twilight of the career is doing some investing and put up a chunk for this location. So that is the back story as to why you see tons of Luongo crap on the wall or might see him and his family eat there like royalty. The Pizza Time in Parkland I always thought of as a fugazi and like in the way Matthew McConaughey tries to pronounce it in the Wolf of Wall Street. I tried it a few times and it just wasn't anything like the Coral Springs location. Come to think of it every Italian restaurant I've been to in Parkland kinda sucked. Parkland is pretty much only good for horses. Ok, so now the irony. The Coral Springs location, while still has pretty much the same decor and charm, has revamped their menu to reflect a more modern Pasquale's if you will. The owner/management has really pimped this place out to appeal to that middle class family demographic coming back from soccer practice or even dance rehearsal. I've been going to the Coral Springs locations since the late 90s and it has always been a favorite of mine. However; I live in Boca and this in my backyard so I do frequent this location. It's much smaller. Service is usually really good but the prices are higher (it's East Boca, what did you expect?) and the food isn't quite the same. I know it's a different restaurant, despite using the same name to lure folks, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to not compare the two. This place has great pizza, as expected. Their chicken parm awesome. Their garlic knots pretty fantastic. But, and this is a difference maker, the sauce isn't exactly the same and that probably my favorite thing about Pizza Time. Sauce means the world to me. I want that gravy to be the same because I used to drink it up. It's not. It's still good, but once you've had the best it's hard to go back. The Boca location is good dining but like the CS location, they both can be a little inconsistent too. One some nights I leave wanting to go back the very next day, and in the past I said I'm going to give it a break and reset. Both places I will say, I am not a fan of how the food translates when taking it out. This is a place that I would recommend dining in only.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service tonight. I've been ordering from this place forever and tonight they acted like Prime 112 in south beach. They had about 10 people waiting outside (3 different parties) and would not split a table that is only given to parties that are over 5 people. Considering the fact we waited over 20 minutes, I decided to very nicely ask one of the managers if they could split it up considering they had a large amount of people waiting. They not only refused to split it up to sit the waiting customers but the guy wouldn't even look me in the eye. He acted like the a security guy at Prime 112 or some 5 star high end restaurant. I'm really sorry to say this but I won't be ordering from them again and will definitely be sharing my experience with everyone I've sent there. Just recently found out that the chef there was arrested back in 2009 for pulling a gun on one of his employees.... Scary!

This place is dangerous- in the best of ways. Everything is delicious, the atmosphere reminds me of the Bronx in the 50s, and the people are friendly. Price-wise, it isn't exactly cheap, but you pay for what you get and you get the best of the best here. I get take out at least twice a week!

I have died and gone back to my childhood in New Jersey. Best little gem tucked away in a small shopping center in east Boca. Whenever I pick up my prescriptions at Walgreen's, I see this place packed out most nights with a few people waiting outside for a table. I decided to try it last night. Oh dear, I cannot even describe how fabulous this place is. Checkered tablecloths, wine bottles on the table, the typical Italian décor of most little restaurants in the Northeast. However, the smell, oh the smells and the wonderful items in the front case were enough to draw me in completely. I ordered Manicotti for take-out; it comes with garlic rolls and a small side salad. The portions are huge, enough for two meals. The manicotti was rich and delicious with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The garlic rolls are out of this world. Soft and hot, slightly crispy on the edges and loaded with garlic and butter. I was in Heaven. The people who manage and run this place are delightful. I felt like family. A gentleman from the kitchen handed me a fresh zeppole to try ... it was fantastic. Wonderful people, wonderful food, wonderful prices. A very nice menu with dinners, pizzas and subs. A fabulous front case that displays all sorts of wonderful dishes like stuffed artichokes, stuffed mushrooms, Italian sandwiches and other wonderful items. My sister is visiting in two weeks to celebrate my birthday. I just canceled my reservation at a 5-star restaurant in Las Olas so that we can celebrate my birthday at Pizza Time instead. Yes, it is that good.

I am a fan! I was turned onto this place by a friend and I've been back 3 times in past month. It's exactly the place your looking for regarding a neighborhood italian restaurant and especially if you live in Boca like me and don't want to shell out $100 every time you want damn good italian. Place - Small and cute, but they pack you in. Get ready to speak to your neighbor's as you are practically sitting with them...I haven't found this to be a bad thing...everyone is really friendly and I like how people aren't cold. My wife loves the red & white table tops and it reminds us of the neighborhood italian joints back on LI. Food - The food to me is out of this world. I've been the past 2 Sunday's and had the Sunday special for two...it is one of the best Sunday plates I have ever eaten. The beef braciole is fork tender and melts in your mouth...I've asked them to put it on their dessert menu! Pasta is cooked al dente just right in my book and the plate is finished with rigatoni, a meatball, sausage, piece of eggplant parm, and a dollap of cold ricotta...I think of it as the whip cream of the dish :) Also they have the best garlic rolls around. I haven't had pizza but will be back to try the grandma (I haven't had that since I was in LI) this weekend. Service - This is where I feel Pizzatime can improve. Our waiter the past 2 x's has been awesome and he even knew what I was going to when I walked in on Sunday...I love that! But since the past 2 times, it's gotten better. I don't want to knock this too much because the staff tries to make you feel at home.

I've been eating here since 2008. Pizza sauce is amazing... If you like a good veal parm sub, this is the spot... Try it!

Best pizza in south Florida. Their meals are better. Try the chicken balsamic! Don't go here for anything fancy, the place is super casual and family friendly.

Love this place. This is my first review on Yelp (so far) after using the app for about 5 years. That's how good this place is. The specials are ridiculous including the Francais and the veal osso bucco (marsala). Pizza is awesome (I am from NY originally and so are the owners). Also the waiter Lou is the best. Never had a bad meal here.

If I Could Give This place no stars I would. By far the rudest people I've met, the owner actually told me to go screw myself because I complained about the wait time that he didn't need my business. I was quoted 50 min for a call in order only to discover that you have to wait another 30 when you get there, because they reheat the pizza that was cooked earlier!!! And when I told the cashier that you don't run a successful business like that, she told me they were one of most successful businesses in Boca. Check out the other reviews, sounds.like being rude is a staple here. Their food is ok, certainly not worth the attitude or the price If you don't think my business is worth common decency, then you're not getting my money. I refuse to pay to be insulted.

Chicken Parm panini is out of this world but pricey for lunch, and the margarita pizza slices are so tasty and a good deal. Delivery takes FOREVER, but worth it!

I had dinnner their last night with my cousin. The restaurant is small, not to many tables and a counter for take out orders. We walked into the restaurant and were seated within five minutes. The dining room was nothing fancy but was nicely decorated. Our server was very attentive & was always there when we needed anything. We shared the small order of the fried calamari. It was a nice sized portion, larger than we expected since we ordered the smaller portion. It was served with lemon wedges and a cup of delicious marinara sauce. The sauce was wonderful and had fresh garlic in it. The calamari tasted very fresh and we enjoyed it very much. The garic rolls were out of this world! Tons of fresh garlic and the perfect amount of butter. I only had one but trust me, I could have made a meal out of just the garlic rolls! I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was incredible. Lightly breaded & fried with just the right amount of sauce and mozzarella cheese on top. The portion was large enough to share so I had plenty of leftovers to take home with me. My cousin ordered the chicken marsala and she loved it. Both dinners came with a house salad with a wonderful House Italian dressing that had chunks of tomatoes in it sort of like a bruschetta topping. For my side pasta I chose the penne with marinara sauce & it was excellent. My cousin had spaghetti with the marsala sauce on it & she said it was good. I will definetely return to try the pizza which looks amazing! This is a wonderful casual restaurant with delicious food. Give it a try, you will really like it. :)

You can't find better Italian food, heck you probably can't even find better food at all. Of all the nice, fancy, and absurdly expensive 5 star restaurants I've been to all over the country, this place is miles ahead. I'm not even talking about just the pizza (which is fantastic). I've never had one thing on this menu that wasn't my new favorite. Seriously, if you've never tried Pizza Time, you're missing out.

In a word - inconsistent. I come here often and it's like restaurant roulette. Some days you land on a winner, some days it's bust. This seems to be the prevailing situation with most (if not all?) simple Italian restaurants in the area. On the good side, the Sicilian pizza is consistently great - but this is not enough to carry the day to a high rating. The subs/panini's are hit/miss - some days it seems they warmed them up from 2 days ago - flavors are muted and underwhelming. Others, it's wow, this is great! Taking a pie home is , similarly, a crap-shoot. Open it up to find a gloppy mess OR open it up to say 'yum!". Not sure what gives with this place, but if they could just consistently churn out good food, I'd be here 3 days a week ! Too bad, I want to love this place, but they make it hard...hope things get worked out in the kitchen or the tough with their dollars Boca crowd will chew this place up....

I was introduced to Pizza TIme by my aunt and uncle who frequently come here and, I must say, I have happily made the drive up from Miami ever since. Had lunch with 10 family members at Pizza Time yesterday and the food was phenomenal (and the service was on par)! We ate: chicken and eggplant parmesan, fettucini alfredo and carbonara. The salad, the garlic rolls and the desserts were all: Oh My Goodness.....give me more! By far one of my favorite restaurants....the drive up is so worth the food.

PROS & CONS: PROS: Very good Italian... Much better than what you'd expect from a place called "Pizza Time" located in a Walgreen's strip... We order delivery from them a 1-2 times a week for the last 6 years. The quality is always there & it's a nice family run restaurant. CONS: Way over priced for fast Italian. On top of that, they nickle and dime you to death for everything. In the end, we continue to order from them so it must be worth what we are paying... no?

I fell in love with Pizza Time from the moment I walked in. The staff is amazing, great people who know food. Their dishes are a little pricy but well worth the value and for the amount of food you get, plus the quality, who cares. I always get their Garlic Rolls, even on my to go orders. Its a must. Come visit this place it's a break from all your other traditional Italian restaurants.

The first pizza I ordered from here was a bit of a flop; we chose our own toppings (spinach and tomato) and it was a little soggy and just generally "meh." After months of snubbing this joint, we gave it a second go, with one of their signature pies; Fresh Tomato in Sicilian. This was excellent. It's a very large pie topped with a thin layer of mozzarella, a layer of fresh, chunky tomato sauce and finished with chopped fresh basil. The sauce is robust and summery and the dough is chewy and golden. We liked it so much we ordered the same thing a few days later. We've never dined in, but I like the atmosphere enough when I stop by for pick-up. The prices are a bit on the high side for pizza, but you're paying for generous portions and good quality. A welcome break from the played-out Boca "coal fire pizza" obsession.

Surprised to find such great food in such modest surroundings. Taste, quality, and quantity....Haven't gotten around to the pizza yet, but in the five visits we've made in the last two months, everything else so delectable. We keep introducing new friends, and never disappointing.

Great group of people that produce a great pizza! I have only had their pizza but I know they offer much more. The prices are Boca, but not Mizner. Quality versus price, quality wins every time!

The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the pizza is pretty good compared to most places in Boca Raton. I am in no way stingy when it comes to food however, having had a ton of experience in the pizza industry, what this place is doing is just criminal. Pizza in the 2nd most profitable food industry next to breakfast food, which each pizza costing the business about $1.50 for a large cheese up to about $5 for their most expensive topping pizza. Pizza Time, who by no means puts a lot of toppings on their pizzas, charges the absurd!!!! I called to order a large pizza with artichokes and pepperoccini peppers and half with eggplant, the other half sausage. When I got out of the shower and asked my girlfriend how much the pizza was she responded $33! When i examined the pizza it was nothing special that may warrant that sort of price. For half of the price I could have driven to fresh market and bought the freshest ingredients and made it my damn self. When I called back in to ask if there was a mistake the gentleman informed me that even if you only get toppings on half the pizza they charge you the full amount which is LUDICROUS unless you are going to give the equivalent of the full topping on each half, which I can assure you is not the case. I hate to write this when they do have some good pizza however I can not stand by and watch a place like this get over on people.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
